Hi TechyV,

When I am installing applications on MAC OS X 10.8 I see an error or message that says the following statement and doesn’t allow me to open third party apps as well.

TextMate cannot be opened

“TextMate” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

Your security preferences allow installation of the only apps from the Mac app store and identified developers.

Hi, 

The following message is because of the security of your Mac. Which has been keeping strict by security gatekeeper. This does not mean that you can't install these applications on your system and run because they are not verified. All you have to do is to off your security and limitation entirely of your gatekeeper. Follow these steps:

When an alert message come like you shown in the picture. Just click on the question sign. It will open another warning.

Unidentified Developer

You have to just click on open and it will launch apple menu from where you have to go security and privacy. In security & privacy click on general and you will see at the bottom anywhere just choose this option. Now you can download any application from any developer.

Disable gatekeeper Mac OS X
