Working on the telecom is a good carrier, they were many IT experience you will encounter especially on the internet and networking. You need to know the basic DSL connections of the Telco this is their bread and butter right now.
You should familiarize every thing first on the installation, activate the DSL, jumper the data in order to activate the internet this has to be done on CO(Central Office) or on the box outside the central office.
Next is to learn to configure the complex products, IPVN, VPN, IGate, IGate Bandwidth on Demand. Learn more on the activation on assigning IP address on the IGate and give it to the client. If you get lease line then you will be given free 10 IP addresses. Thanks.
