Team Fortress 2 launch error

Hello,

I am hoping to get assistance on my game. I have played Team Fortress 2 for a month but now on launch it produces an error shown below. I have never seen such an error and I have not installed any other software.

Error message:

SteamStartup() failed: SteamStartup(0xf,0x0012E5BC) failed with error 1: failed to take master pipe connection lock

Hello Stuart,

Good day!

I encountered the same error to you. Try to restart the steam and run the game again. If it is doesn’t work, Simply delete everything in the game folder (Like your CSS->csrtike folder if you have one) you have trouble with. (C:Program FilesSteamSteamappsusernameCounter Strike Sourcecstrike (or any folder like that. Uninstall and reinstall the game.
