Hello,

Recently I have installed Tally on my laptop with Ubuntu and when I want to run the program this error appears. I have 4GB RAM and I don’t know why is saying that I don’t have memory for this program. I did a small research on the Internet and nothing useful was found. Does anyone have any idea on how I can fix this error ?

Thank you !

Tally says out of memory

I don’t think the problem is really with the memory. If you are using the x86 version, the minimum RAM requirement is only 1 GB so I’m sure it will run on your computer unless you have a much lower RAM. Only the 64-bit version of the Silver and Gold editions of Tally.ERP 9 requires 4 GB RAM. Make sure you meet all the requirements.

For Tally.ERP 9, it runs only on Microsoft Windows as what was specified in their system requirements and looking at your screenshot I’m sure you are using Linux and that’s a different operating system that is not compatible with the application. Maybe that’s the reason why you get the out of memory error.

To run Tally.ERP 9 on your operating system, you need to use a virtual machine to run Tally.ERP 9 under Microsoft Windows. For Tally.ERP 9 x86 Silver and Gold editions, it supports Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT [Gold edition only], Windows Millennium, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. For servers, it supports Windows Server 2000 [Gold edition only], Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2012.

For the x64 Tally.ERP 9 Silver and Gold editions, it supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 all x64. For servers, it supports Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2012 all x64.
