System Validation error on PowerPivot Configuration Tool

Hi there,

I have this error when I try to configure PowerPivot. I had before this error some problems with System Validation and I had to reinstall my Windows 7 and it solved the errors. Now I don’t want to reinstall my Windows because of this error. Does anyone have any idea on how can this error be solved ?

System Validation error on PowerPivot Configuration Tool

Hi David,

First, go to Sharepoint 2010 Central Administration. Then go to Security, select Configure Service Accounts.Then in the credentials window dropdown to select Windows Service – SQL Server Analysis Services. It will display the corresponding user. In this case it will show Local Service. You have to select the Administrator user id. Then check the SSAS Service. Run it as an administrator also. You can not run the Power Pivot Configuration tool.
