Hello,
After installing Microsoft Exchange 2010 Server I wanted to test IMAP connectivity using Microsoft Outlook 2007 on a Windows XP SP3 workstation but I receive a Send and Receive error message saying Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folder for 'reported error (0x800CCCD2): "Outlook cannot synchronize Subscribed folders for Error: the server responded. REFERRAL imap://;AUTH="@mailserver.domain.com/*] the requested mailbox is not available on this server.' if you continue to receive this message contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)”.
When I was connected to the Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server everything was working fine and I didn’t receive any errors. How do I stop this error from occurring so that I can receive and send emails?
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
Its solution is not so tough.
All you got to do is check your Window's Firewall settings and make sure it is directing server to the right direction.
Adjust your Firewall rule to direct towards Exchange 2010 server and NOT towards Exchange 2003 Server.
If it doesn't work out a solution you should try telnet on port 110 to the Exchange server internally. If this doesn't work then you have a problem with the way imap is configured.
Hope it helps!!
