Hi experts,

When I attempted to install Symantec AntiVirus for Macintosh 10.0.0 on an Intel-based Macintosh I get the following error message.

I have tried to reinstall the antivirus to fix this issue but nothing did happen.

I have to resolve this issue so I need your help.

Please suggest me properly.

Thanks.

Hello Vernon,

First, make sure that Auto-Protect is working. In Norton, click on Applications under Go, open Utilities, and click on Process Viewer. If you can find the process labeled "NortonAutoProtect," then Auto Protect is active, as it is supposed to be.

Next, be sure you have the latest version of Live Update. You may install it here. You will need to run the Live Update. Find the Norton Quick Menu icon on the menu bar on your screen. Once you have opened it up, click on Live Update and then open it. Select the Update Everything Now option. Type in your administrative password in the Authenticate window. Wait for the update to be compete.
