Dear Cindy Schaman,

I think your software is not performing uninstall as one or more of its file is running in background of the system. When a file is running you cant get it deleted. If you want to remove your Norton Antivirus 2012  from your machine, must need to restart your computer and run it in Safe Mode. After Running in Safe Mode you need to follow same uninstall process.

1. go to Control Panel

2. Open Add/Remove Program

3. Select " Norton Antivirus 2012 " from the list to uninstall the software.

Hope this time it will be removed.

Hai Cindy Schauman,

If you want to delete the antivirus please visit the link and read the "read-me" file for removal instructions.

The reason for the problem is Apple changed the Installer in 10.6, so it no longer saves its data in the same place as it did on Leopard. Snow Leopard moved it to a private directory from the previously public /Library/Receipts.

Hopes your problem have been solved and understand the cause of error.

If not please leave a reply.

Regards.
