Sudden shutdown problem with my Sony Vaio Z Series

Hi,

Recently I bought Sony Vaio Z Series as I love all Sony products a lot and Windows 7. But the main problem is that it is suddenly shutting down without giving any warning message. Sometimes it is shutting down after 20-30 minutes and sometimes taking more than 30 minutes. I tried to fix this problem like without using battery, plugging it to adapter. But no use. Today when I opened it, booting took less time, but after that it was suddenly shut down. Afterwards, I reformatted my computer, but again same issue. Can someone assist me ?

Thanks!

Hello Marcel,

There could be many factors responsible for this. Please check below so it will remove some constraints.

1.  Try any utilities to see the temperature of your system before it shuts down. Also check whether your fan is working properly or not. Most sudden shutdowns happen due to CPU overheat.

2. Do you see any blue screen when it shuts down. It can be a possible BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) ? There are possible solution regarding BSOD depends upon the information.

3. Check Voltage Fluctuations: Sometime the voltage coming to CPU is not regulated. If the high voltage is coming from battery or Adaptor the system will shut down as it works on low voltage.

4. If it's in warranty, better talk to customer service center, they will provide you the solution regarding this, or replace it.
