Sudden crash while playing a game on the AION client

Hello guys,

I have been playing a game on the AION client, but as soon as I start the game, it crashes immediately.

On starting the game I get to see the following screen:

The instruction at 0x2e84fcl referenced memory at 0x0000000. The memory could not be written. Click Ok to terminate the program.

Sometimes, it even starts, and all of a sudden, it shuts down without any reason. I don’t know what to do?

I am using the Operating system windows 7 home premium 64 bit, and the processor is AMD Athlon™ II X2 245 Processor (2 CPUs), ~2.9GHz. I have the NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 card and a display memory of 4065 MB. I am using Direct X 11 and have a 8192 MB ram.

If anyone has any idea as to why this is happening, please do let me know. I am anxiously waiting for your suggestions.

Your help will be highly appreciated.

Kind regards.

It looks to me as if you may be using a manipulated version of the game as these sort of "memory errors" occur mostly in cracked versions.

However, if you wish to fix this I'd recommend perhaps updating the client or that game that your playing as if it's happening to other players it's likely there's a legitimate fix by now.

I hope this helps !

Cheers

Hi Chloe,

thank you for sending this in.

First of all, I would like to know if that is indeed a cracked client being played on a private server? I hear they cause a lot of issues since cracked games don't get much support from game developers.

And then, I would like you to navigate to your game's installation path. It's probably in C:Programs Files (x86), and run the Aion's repair tool. That should make the game run good as new. If you have more questions, do not hesitate to ask.

That error is related to the memory. It can be caused by a conflict with the antivirus which resides in the memory as you use your computer and scans everything that runs. Try restarting the computer then try again. If this doesn’t work, try to uninstall and reinstall the current version of the client you have. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it.

Once installed, start Revo then select your AION client among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then install AION back. If the problem continues, download the latest AION Client.

Also, check the system requirements again and make sure your computer meets those requirements. The latest AION client supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. It requires Intel Dual Core or equivalent AMD Athlon 64 X2 or better processor, 2 GB RAM, Microsoft DirectX 9.0c-compatible video card (NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT, AMD Radeon 4550, or better), and 30 GB free space.
