Actually, although its feature is called Radio, it is not a classic radio.

That feature is enabled to Free, Unlimited and Premium account users.

It creates random playlist of songs that are chosen based on specific genres and decades from the catalog of approx. 18 million sons.

You can skip as many tracks as desired. Since 20th June 2012, Spotify radio streaming is available for free on iPad and iPhone in USA.
