My Canon PIXIMA ip 4000 has been starting some leakage of ink. I think there is problem with settings in software. How can I refresh the settings through the option reset tool ip 4000?

If the printer shows P07 error, which means your ink absorber inside the printer is almost full. If you want to solve this you need to clear or reset the counter protection of your printer.

You can follow these steps-

  • Power off your printer without pulling the power cords.
  • Hold down STOP/RESET button and press Power button.
  • Keep holding down Power button and let STOP/RESET button go.
  • Then Press STOP/RESET button twice then let BOTH buttons go.
  • You will notice that the Alternate Blinking error is gone, this means that the printer is in Service Mode state.
  • Then you have to come on step 2-
  • You have to download resetter
  • Extract it and double click "servicetool.exe"
  • Load some papers in your printer and press the "Main" Button once, wait until the printing is done.
  • Then press "EEPROM Clear" button to clear EEPROM.
  • Then press EEPROM button and the printer will print some text.
  • Then power off the printer and turn on again.

Hope the process can help you.

Thanks.
