The steps to use System Restore in Windows 7 are as follows. First, open System Restore by entering it in the search bar. Click on next, and a box will appear with the various types of system restore points. Each restore point will provide the characteristics of that particular restore point along with the time stamp that tells you when this change was being made on the computer.
Click on the Windows Update restore point which can be used to re-establish the PC back to how it was before updating the software. Once you select the desired restore point, click on next and then finish. The restore request is beingprocessed, and the PC will be back to how it was before updating after the restore is complete.
