Hi people. I use SSW Data Renovator 2000 Version 13.87 to update and sync Access database backends. Ever since upgrading to Windows 8, all I see is a black screen when launching the program. Do I also have to upgrade my version for SSW?
Maybe this is a compatibility issue of the software to Windows 8. This is a new OS and SSW Data Renovator 2000 for Windows 8 may not be available. Try to re download it again from the link below as it is compatible with Windows PC and see if it will work again:
The SSW Data Renovator software is not compatible with Windows 8 and this product is no longer supported. You will no longer receive any update for this program for Windows 8. SSW Data Renovator supports Microsoft Access 97, 2000, 2002 (aka XP), and 2003. It requires Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 to register the program and MDAC 2.8.
For MDAC, download Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8 Service Pack 1. The SSW Data Renovator has been retired. For a little history, the SSW Data Renovator will compare the master copy with the new version and will tell you exactly what those changes were and then help you move the data. It analyzes the database and works out the differences.
Use this program instead of remembering and documenting the changes made to your back end data structure.
