Hello,

I configured a server with the simple hotspot Mikrotik 2.9.27. In fact I have two machines with a laptop on which I installed Virtual PC 2007 and this one Mikrotik 2.9.27 and I used a PC client.

My hotspot works great and I would like encrypted information circulating on both my machines with SSL. I went and IP Services to activate SSL but I do not know how pa create an SSL certificate for my server. Please help me!

Hey Kemmouni,

  • You must need to sign your own certificate to authenticate your hotspot SSL session, for its client`s browser, in order starting an https connection.
  • You can apply SSL certificate” signing with a Certificate Authority(CA) and before you go for your certificate signing you must create a private key first as you might have known about the private key and public key. Similarly all the public keys will be derived from private key. So make sure to create a strong private key as well.
