Is the speed test provided by CAIW Diensten BV sincere?

Hallo Guys! I have been using a connection by CAIW Diensten BV, Netherlands. Every time that I carry out a speed test I realize that everything is functioning well and the agreed speed. My biggest worry is that the speed test is carried out using a functionality provided by the same company like most other companies do. Are these tests accurate or could they be to hoodwink the user that he is having a really good connection? Please advise. Thanks.

Hi Jean,

There are a lot of online site where you can test your internet speed, if you think that the speed is not proper for what you pay.

According to me its a best practice, if we test the speed of the internet often, so that we can understand that are we getting the proper speed for which we are paying.

Here is the link of the site which I use for the testing the speed: http://www.speedtest.net

Hope it helps you.

Hi Jean,

As a frequent internet user, I do worry if I am getting my money's worth of the internet connection I am subscribed with. And the speed test results from the speed test site provided by the company somehow eases that.

You can always check other speed test sites and compare the speed consistency. You may be getting different results but do not worry. If the results slightly differ, it could be due to many factors such as the network traffic, the time you ran the speed test whether it's peak time or not, your hardware configuration, the test server location, and a whole lot more.

Here are some speed test sites you could try aside from speedtest.net:

  1. https://speedof.me/

  2. https://testmy.net/

  3. https://www.whatismyip.com/questions/speed-test-issues/

Of course, you can always search the web for other speed test sites.

Sincerely,

Thompson Cossey
