Hi guys,

I tried to search a file in Windows 7 using the search option.

Have a look at the message below. I created a file, but it did not appear.

How can I use this advanced feature for that file?

Please help.

Hi,

I tested this instance and its true that you cannot create a folder with the name Con, the possible reason is that "Con" is a reserve word for windows and DOS. along with other reserve words such as PRN, AUX etc.

What you can do this create the folder using a different folder name such as Con_folder or "Con folder" (without the quotes) if you really want the word Con as a folder name.

I hope this helps

Thank you

Hello,

You are trying to search for a file named con. I would like to tell you that you cannot create a file by the name con on windows.I don’t know how you created it, but you cannot name a file by the name con in windows.

And when you search for the file which does not exists then automatically shows the error.

Thank you.

Thank you guys for helping me with your wonderful solutions. Kanette Angelo, you are correct; you explained to me what I did wrong. I have been able to do things the right way by following your instructions. I am not receiving any more error messages. Now I know how to use the word “Con” in a folder name, and have it come out the way I want. Thank you, my friend.
