Hello experts,

Today I came up with a problem. I use Microsoft windows XP in ASUS X80L laptop. AS you know this is a very old model I have to search in Google for its drivers whenever I reinstall my windows. But here is the problem.

I have downloaded realteck audio drivers from a website which when downloaded is detected as malware by my AVG antivirus. I am not sure what can I do. I have downloaded it two times and tries all the technologies I know. And now I am fed up with this. Here I am running my laptop without any sound. Please help me.

You should download the sound driver from the trusted website which has a driver free from viruses. Sometimes there is compatibility issues with the driver. Download the Realtek HD Audio Driver 2.47 for the Windows XP. Click on the following link.

You can check ADI Sound Max driver for your Windows OS. Download this driver from the given link.

Realtek AC'97 Audio is also valid for your XP Windows.

Hello Christian  Soky,

You should download sound driver for your laptop from the official website.

Download Realtek HD audio driver from their official website.

Also you don't have to search Asus drivers in Google after installing Windows.

Asus X80L drivers are available in their official site.

Type your model number X80L in the search box to download proper drivers for your Asus or use Model Automatic Detection which will scan your model and lead you to the appropriate downloads.

You can also select model manually or there is another option to download drivers by your product serial number.

Hope this helps.

Best regards.
