I have my sound card and I know it is working. But after reinstalling windows 7 i cant hear any sound. can you please help?

Hi Santos,
I understand your problem. You need to install Sound card driver software for listening sound. You may have sound card connected in but You must need the driver software. You can find the software searching in Google by your Computer/Laptop's model number and your current operating system. Then you will find the compatible driver software for your device. Then install it in your PC and then enjoy the music. Otherwise not.
Also check the cable connection between your PC and your speaker. Make sure that your speaker is not damaged & it works well in another PC. Thanks.

If you are sure you did not touch the sound card inside the CPU after you install Windows 7 then maybe its drivers encountered an error and got stuck after that. Try uninstalling its driver then shutdown the computer. Open the CPU case then remove the sound card from the slot. Wipe the part that connects to the slot with a clean cloth. Or if you have a pencil eraser, use it instead. Rub the eraser to that part as if you are erasing something. Do it on both sides. Wipe it again with a clean cloth and then attach it back to the slot. Start again your computer and see if Windows will detect a new hardware. Just install its driver afterwards.
Be sure you have working speakers or headphones when testing your sound card for audio output.

My sound card is now working! Thanks Sharath. I was scared that my drivers are not compatible to windows 7 but after I have downloaded my audio driver and installed it , it is now working! Thanks
