Sony Xperia S will soon be available in Canada.

The Sony Xperia S was already available since February 29 of 2012 after it was launched also that same year. It was originally known as Sony Ericsson Xperia NX in Japan until Sony acquired Ericsson in January of 2012.

This was the first Sony-only branded Smartphone after the acquisition. It was admired for its hardware, high-definition display, voice clarity, unique design, and efficient camera during its launch. Almost 90% of the Smartphone’s front is display.

The downside of the Smartphone is its lack of removable media support. Although it looks good and has high specifications, it doesn’t support external memory cards. So if you are not aware of it and you have your memory card to use with it, you will only be disappointed because you won’t be able to use any of your memory cards. Even if it doesn’t have an external memory card support it still has a lot of internal storage which is 32 GB.

The Smartphone is originally shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and can be upgraded to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 MSM8260 chipset with 1.5 GHz dual-core Scorpion processor, Qualcomm Adreno 220 GPU, and 1 GB RAM.
