There isn't much resource on this software when errors occur, just like this one. I hope somebody might have an idea on what to do with this error.
What code was the error referring to and what should I do to fix the error?

It means that the codec currently installed in your computer is not updated. Then it means that you need to have a codec pack installed in your computer. I suggest that you download Combined Community Codec
It is one of the most completed codec package that I installed in my computer and it comes with a media player classic and can also play other video file formats.
You can also try the DivX codec pack it is associated with AVI files mostly and it is also easy and free to download for their website. I'm sure that it will work for your Sony Vegas software and it will convert your without any problems.
