Hi,

I received an invitation for updating my server from the Windows Automatic Update. I tried to proceed through the suggested way but failed. It says, "Some updates were not installed, Error found Code 8024200D". I have no idea for the error message.

If you have any idea for the issue please help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi ,

To solve this problem, I recommended you to disable you Antivirus Software just to be able to download the new update successfully. Perform an update by renaming the Software Distribution and Catroot2 if the error still appears.

Rename it close all the programs and restart your computer.

Next, if you have single operating system installed, press and hold F8 (as the Vista restarts). But if you have more than one operating system installed, use the narrow keys to select the Vista operating system and press and hold F8 (as the Vista restarts). Then, on the Advanced Boot Options screen, click Safe Mode.

Perform this steps after logged in to Safe Mode.

Click the Start Menu and select Run a click Insert. Type: c:windows and Enter. Locate and right-click SoftwareDistribution folder, then click Rename and rename it as SDold. Locate the Catroot2 in your Windows folder. Right click it and rename as Catroot2old. Restart your Vista in a normal mode.

If still it doesn’t work visit Microsoft Download Centre, search for the update with which you are getting the error and install it.

Hope it will help you.
