Hello,

I'm installing 2010 at home with our home edition of the software. It’s the 32 bit version. Here is the error I'm getting. I have no problem with 2009 but now I am unable to install 2010 on personal desktop. I click on “Continue Installation” but the problem still remained. Can I get the proper way to resolve this problem? I really need your assistance.

Thanks.

Hi Russel,

There could be a host of reasons why you are getting this error. Go through the below options to see if it help with the installation error:

  1. The installation files could be corrupt. Try to get the latest copy of the software and then proceed to install
  2. Verify if the version of SolidWorks you are trying to install is compatible with your version of Windows
  3. Disable the antivirus while trying to install
  4. Re-boot your computer in safe mode with networking and then try to install SolidWorks
  5. If you are trying to install from a CD, make a local copy of the installation files on your computer and try to install from this copy
