Check again if you meet all the requirements of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012. It supports Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3, Windows Vista [Enterprise, Business, or Ultimate] Service Pack 2 or higher, and Windows 7 [Enterprise, Ultimate, or Professional] both x86 and x64. For Windows XP users who are using 64-bit, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 can be used on Service Pack 2 and higher.

For x86 Microsoft Windows, you need to have at least 1 GB RAM. For x64 Microsoft Windows, the minimum RAM to use AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 is 4 GB. Your graphics accelerator should have at least 128 MB video RAM and it should support Pixel Shader 3.0 or higher. If your computer seems to meet all the requirements, try reinstalling the application.

Uninstall AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 then restart your computer. After booting, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and click Disk Cleanup. Select drive C and click OK. Check “Temporary files”, click OK and then click Delete Files. Install the application back and see if it works. If it crashed again then try running it as administrator.

Right-click AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 on your desktop and select Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check “Run this program as an administrator” under Privilege Level and click OK. Start AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 and see if it works.
