Hi,

I upgraded to Snow Leopard and I have seen errors from TotalFinder. First was “TotalFinder cannot be opened” then next I got the error shown below when trying to open a file. Any ideas?

You cannot open the application

You cannot open the application “Mathematics Grades 9 Immersion – Unit Plan FR.pages” because it may be damaged or incomplete

I think your upgrade from the old version to Mac OS X Snow Leopard didn’t complete successfully. Normally, when upgrading a Mac OS X operating system, the installer for the new platform or the new operating system actually is downloaded from the Apple App Store just like downloading any other applications.

You just download it on your computer and then run the installer afterwards to install the new operating system. But usually before doing this you need to check and make sure that your computer is capable of handling the new operating system. Normally, if you just downloaded and installed the new platform and you didn’t assess your computer before this, things like this will happen.

Since Mac OS X platforms are downloaded from the Apple App Store just like an ordinary application, try downloading it again and make sure you completely download the operating system. Before running the installer to upgrade your Mac OS X, make sure your computer’s specifications support the new operating system.

Once the upgrade is finished, check if all your applications are working. If not, try reinstalling them. When upgrading in Microsoft Windows, after the upgrade has finished it is required to reinstall all programs to activate them on the new operating system and it is mandatory. I’m not sure if it is the same with Mac OS X.
