Skype responds slow on my Nokia Lumia 1020

Hello! I have been using Nokia smartphones from a long time now and this is a problem which has been very common with all the Nokia smartphones that I have used. When I use my Nokia smartphone to connect to internet and use Skype for video calls, the call quality and the voice quality is very poor. This happens every time and the problem is not with the internet because when I use my laptop to connect to internet using WiFi and use Skype, the call and voice quality is perfect. So why does this happen with Nokia?

I believe there are issues running Skype on Windows 8.1 Developer. I'm not sure if that's the operating system you are on or not. You should try to update your operating system on the phone and try updating Skype, there might be a new update available. This could also be a processing hardware issue with Skype and older Nokia phones. I think stopping and resuming video feedback may proof effective here.
