Hi friends, I am back with another problem. I have bought a new Samsung galaxy gt 15800 phone a few days ago. It is a very nice phone and working properly. But I faced a problem when I tried to change the ringtone of my phone. The tone that I want to set as my ringtone is on my memory card. I was unable to change the ringtone as it was on the memory card. Now how can I change the ringtone? Please friends, give me some suggestions.

Hello! Lindaichoi, For changing the ringtone of your mobile there are two methods:

1. First Go to General Settings then User profile then the particular profile then changes ringtone.

2. Another method is to go  that file and tap after this same option comes and set it as ringtone.

I hope you will get your answer.

Hi Lindaichoi,

This seems to be an easy question but I just found out as well that if you are a Verizon customer, Verizon does not allow customers to use their ringtones saved on SD Card. The only way they can get the ringtone is to upload the mp3 or the YouTube file on the Verizon system called Ventones.

If your question is just a basic question unrelated to the above description then follow these simple steps that will be able to help you.

On your Samsung Galaxy i5800, go to the MUSIC file.

Find the song that you would like to set as your ringtone. Once you have found it, press and hold the music file name and choose SET AS. There will be options that will pop-up. You just need to select which one you need to assign the MP3 or Music file  as.

That's it and you are good to go.
Enjoy!
