Hello,

I'm attempting to install the V11 SP2 upgrades of Siemens Simatic.

However, when I try to do this I get an error message which can be seen below. Can I be crafty and run drive? I changed the ownership of the drive but that made no difference. I contacted Siemens but no luck there either, I need your help! Please!

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Hi Don,

This clearly indicates a problem with an application some may suggest that it is also caused by a .Net Framework on your computer. The best to do is to isolate the problem you can start your computer in Safe Boot and then see if the problem persists. You may also  want to try to repair the installation and see if it can correct the problem. I may suggest that you can use the CD installer to repair the application as this will copy any corrupted program files. If all else fails then you can try to clean install the software to remove further complications.

That is an access denied error. If you need to install that Siemens application but you keep getting that error, make sure you have an administrator account. It may not install on limited or non-admin user accounts. If this is not the problem, check the system requirements and verify that your computer meets those requirements.

If you don’t see any compatibility issue, try to temporarily disable your antivirus before installing the software. Restart the computer. After booting, disable your antivirus first and don’t run any program. Once it is disabled, try installing the program again. For a little history, “SIMATIC” is an automation system developed by Siemens, a German company.

This automation system controls machines used for industrial production. This system makes it possible for machines to run automatically. The SIMATIC unit is kept in a control cabinet near the machine and depending on the needed function you have to upload the correct program to the SIMATIC unit.
