Hey Roland Foster!

If you want to permanently block your mobile then you must have the IMEI of your mobile phone. The IMEI is the only number which can help you in blocking your mobile permanently.

You must report this number to the Telecommunication Authorities in your country. They will ask for some details from you, give them details and they will block your mobile. Now any person who have your mobile can not use your mobile and when he will go to any shop to unblock it, the shopkeeper have to contact the Telecommunication Authorities for the unblocking code and Telecommunication Authorities will trace that person and will take the mobile. You will be able to have your lost mobile back.

Thanks

I’m not sure if it is possible, I mean turning off the mobile phone permanently. There are lots of different applications out there that offer services of locating lost handsets but I’ve not heard of an application feature that enables it to permanently shut down the device. I think it’s beyond the capability of the program. The power of the handset is controlled by the on and off switch located on the side of the device and to use it, it must be accessed externally or physically.

And even if a program managed to shutdown the device, the user will still be able to turn it on again using the button or switch. The best way of preventing lost phones from being accessed by unknown users is to report it directly to your government’s telecommunications department like in the Philippines, lost or stolen mobile phones are reported to the National Telecommunications Commission. Simply reporting it to your network provider doesn’t help because they will also tell you to report it to the telecommunications department.
