There is something wrong with my iPod Shuffle 3G.
When I turn it on, the light goes green, then after several seconds, it flashes orange light for four times.
It does not respond to my remote but it can play music.

Shuffle 3rd gen will not respond to remote
Hi Mothilda,
It seems a software problem. You can confirm it by :

Firstly try to reset your iPod.

After done, switch on the iPod and check it. If the problem is not resolved then try next step.

If you can't resolve this problem by this step then you need to upgrade or re-install you ipod's software.
Updating Ipod

First of all take the data cable of your ipod and attach it with your pc through the USB.

Now download the latest released software according to your ipod's model to your pc. through the Itunes.

Now find the downloaded file and open it in the iTunes. Like on the image.

This will ask you the installation that Yes/No. Click onn yes.
This will remove your all the files from your ipod and will be install the software.

After finish your iPod will be restart and it is ok now.
