Short Sound on iPhone 4 after upgrading to iOS 5

Hello! My question is regarding my iPhone 4. Recently after upgrading to iOS 5 I started hearing a short sound from my phone. It shows nothing except for the usual icons on my iPhone. I searched into sound settings and checked if there is a way that I can turn it off, but I can’t find the same tone on my phone. Has anyone had the same experience? What should I do with it? Please send me suggestions and instructions on how to fix it. Thank you.

Hi Jayden,

This could probably a problem due to the new iOS 5. There are few iPhone users who upgraded their OS to iOS 5 experienced this problem also, it is like a ghost email notification where in your phone will sounds like there is a new message or email arrived but there is nothing displayed in your notifications. The only possible solution to fix this is re-install iOS 5 in your iPhone. Hope this helps.

Hi there user:

Mute the general notification sounds of your unit for a while, so it won’t bother you while doing this set-up.

Clear your cache and then observe your unit. If the mysterious sound alert still there, check your notification sounds settings. Start with your emails sound alert, message sounds, warning sounds, game tones, etc. Mute every features that gives sounds. And then restart your unit.

Make sure your antivirus is updated, after the reset; scan your unit with the installed antivirus. Now you may un-mute your unit. I hope by this set-up, you won’t hear this mysterious sound alert again.

Thank you for posting.

Best regards,
