I am trying to access drive C on Lenovo G80 laptop but it won't go through. What pops up instead is this error message, "a sharing violation occurred while accessing C:Users…Desktopfolderfilename.png"  What could have gone wrong?

I am accessing this drive on an administrator account, no other users accounts are logged in currently so I don't understand this error. I have tried both ways of opening drive C i.e double-click and right click method but this has failed too What could be the problem?

Hello,

The file you’re trying to open is most probably, being used by another program and so, it’s unable to be opened for you.

In order to open the file, wait for a few minutes and then try again.

If the problem still persists, then you can use “Unlocker” to close the programs that’re causing this issue.

To do so,

1. Download and install Unlocker.

2. Right-click on the file/folder and select “Unlocker”.

3. Click “Unlock All”.

Now, your file/folder should be available to be used.
