Is it possible to share a printer in Linux on windows because I would like to host my printer in windows and use linux for day to day applications?

You can get connect to Windows to Linux system and can get access to files, directories and printers that you want to share. This this possible by SAMBA, which is an implementation if SMB protocol. This SMB networking protocol is used by Windows to import the Linux distributions. To share a printer on Linux to Windows computer system, first you to make it get connect and work it in the Linux environment. If that thing is good, then set up a SMB share of the printer. Also, windows system should have an account on the Linux/samba server to get print.
