Hello,

I am currently having issues with BCS, Metadata and Access Services in my SharePoint environment.

I have the issue with BSC once I open the SharePoint site in SharePoint designer and click on ‘External Content Type’ on the top menu and I got this following error message.

I have confirmed all the configuration settings but I could not resolve this issue.

Can I get resolution to fix this problem?

Any assistance would be helpful.

IncludeExceptionDetailInFault (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft.NET Framework 3.0 SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs.

Hi Timothy,

The error is because the value for customer membership code was not properly assigned.
To resolve this error follow the steps as stated below:
1) GO to web.config file in the solution explorer
2) Add the service debug under ’14WebServicesSecurityToken’ in the web.config as follows:

3) Ensure the following features are activated:
a) SiteCollection – Site Settings – > SharePoint Server Enterprise Web application Features
b) CentralAdmin – > System Settings – > Manage Farm Features – > Access Services Farm Feature
4) Restart the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 application and the error is resolved
