You get that error when you set up a specific application because your application needs to update the MBR, during you do the set up. Maybe your computer systems do have some software or other programs that keeps preventing your application to update the MBR.

The solution for that problem is to check the possible software such as anti virus or drive encryption programs that keeps preventing your MBR to update. You need to disable those soft wares. Then after to disable, try to install your application again. After the installation you can enable now again those programs that you disabled.

If your hard drive’s MBR or Master Boot Record is damaged, you can still fix it by rebuilding the Master Boot Record with a repair tool or by running several commands in the command prompt. First, try rebuilding the Master Boot Record with a repair tool. Download EaseUS Partition Master and install it.

Once installed, start EaseUS Partition Master then right-click the drive with the damaged Master Boot Record and select “Rebuild MBR”. On the “Rebuild MBR” window, select the correct operating system or the operating system that’s currently running on the computer. Next, click “Apply”. EaseUS Partition Master will now rebuild the damaged Master Boot Record based on the operating system you selected.
