Hello to all Techyv Experts! I need some help from all of you guys. I am having problem on setting up my new router. I bought this router so it can reach my old router that is placed on the first floor of the house. When I try to set up the new router, my laptop is stating that I cannot connect to any network. The old router is a Linksys WRT54G and the new router is a Sitecom 300N. I want to connect the two so the connection from first floor will reach the second floor by using the new router. How can I possibly do that without errors? Please help me. Thanks.

Setting up a new Bridge Sitecom 300N Router

Hi,

You have two different routers one is Linksys WRT54G and other one is Sitecom 300N. This is the reason that you could not connect those routers properly. You may need to setup new router’s IP address and give that IP to old router so that it can identify old router. For router to router communication they used routing table. Routing table holds all nearest router’s IP location. So reset old router so that it can set new routers IP in its routing table. You may also need to setup subnet mask perfectly. For this here I am giving a link for manual to do this job. This is a PDF file. I hope this will help http://www.auroragroup.eu/data/downloads/UKCatalogue.pdf
