I bought a new pc. I asked the store to install Lotus Notes. My problem is, it is not yet configured. What do I need to do to set up Notes? What are the steps in setting up Lotus Notes. And what are the requirements needed?

To configure your Lotus Notes:
 
  1. Go to Start > All Programs > Lotus Applications > Lotus Notes.
  2. Click Next on the Welcome Page.
  3. Set up your User ID for exchange connector for Lotus Notes and enter the name of the user's home/mail Domino server. Select “I want to connect to a Domino server. ” Click Next.
  4. Select “Set up a connection to a local area network (LAN)” on the How Do You Want to Connect to a Domino Server page and then click Next.
  5. On the Domino Server Network Information page, type the name of the Lotus Domino Server. Select TCP/IP in the Please provide specific network information to help locate this server dialog box. In the Server address field, type the hostname or IP address for the Domino server listed and then click Next. The server should be the one that you configured earlier.
  6. Click Yes when asked if you want the User ID file copied to your data directory.
  7. Type in the password for the user ID.
  8. Clear the Setup instant messaging box when prompted to set up Instant Messaging and then click Next.
  9. Click Next on the Additional Services page.
  10. Click OK when you received the message that indicates that Notes setup is complete.

To set up Lotus Notes successfully click start then go to all programs then go to the Lotus application and click Lotus Notes, because it is you first installation you can run Lotus Notes. When the wizard appears click next command it to connect to dominion server then set up a connection to a local are follow the on screen instructions clicking yes.

Type your password when you are asked for it. Clear the set up for instant messages then click next on additional services page click next. At this point wait for a message that states Notes set up is completed then click okay. Exit Lotus Notes. If you follow this procedure you will be successful in setting up Lotus Notes.
