Hi,

The message you are viewing is because of the security certificate for the following Exchange 2007 gets expired. It is a self signed Security certificate and its validity is for 1 year. After 1 year you have a new certificate to re-issue. If it is not updated or re-issued new certificate Outlook will always complain about the security warning of the certificate to you by displaying. To re-issue new certificate you can get it from the Exchange management shell. So Outlook cannot trust it and redirect you sometimes to this security message. Click on the Exchange Management Shell to visit the page and step by step solution of re-issue certificate.

Hello John j odonnell,

The message you are getting can be caused your security certificate for the following Exchange 2007 have been expired. So you need to re-issue your security certificate. Another simple solution of your problem can be just uninstall your whole Microsoft Office 2007 from control panel. Then restart the PC and again install your product Microsoft Office 2007 properly and configure your email address on outlook. If this methods worked you do not need to re-issue your security certificate.

Thanks and Regards

Louis

If you receive this error, just click “Yes” to proceed to your destination. You normally see this when using Microsoft Internet Explorer to visit websites. This is one reason why I don’t use this browser to surf the internet. If this doesn’t work, try setting the correct date or just synchronize it with an internet time server.

To do this, right-click date and time on the system tray and select “Adjust date/time”. In “Date and Time” dialog, under “Date and Time” tab, click “Change time zone” then select your correct time zone on the next screen and then click “OK”. Next, go to “Internet Time” tab then click “Change settings”. In “Internet Time Settings” dialog, make sure “Synchronize with an Internet time server” is checked.

In “Server”, select a time server from the dropdown list then click “Update now”. In Windows 7, you can select between:

  • time.windows.com
  • time.nist.gov
  • time-nw.nist.gov
  • time-a.nist.gov
  • time-b.nist.gov

In Windows XP, there are only two options available:

  • time.nist.gov
  • time.windows.com

Click “OK” all throughout then try again.
