Whenever I insert my SD card to my laptop’s card slot or to a card reader, it always registers as write protected. I’m sure that the switch is not on write protect so I don’t know what’s the problem. My camera can save pictures smoothly. Please help.

Please change the write protection switch to other end and see. Hopefully, it will work.

If the problem persists, check do you have necessary rights to send data to the particular external device.

You can check this by logging in as Administrator to your system and getting user configuration settings.

thanks.

Dear User,

This is a common issue with memory card users, you can try following these steps,

1.     Make sure the small plastic switch isn’t locked. And place a small tape , so it won’t move.

2.     If you get the same error again. Try removing Read-Only check by going to properties Of the existing files

Thank you.

belowe you can see the image of lock switch.
