Hi everyone,

I was attempting to scan something with Solution Center to HP C 7280 all together on Windows 7 virtual machine on //(parallels) on an iMac. I could print very well when I used the HP solution Center but when I attempted to scan, I saw an error that it was being used by some other computer program.

I restarted my computer and even re-installed the whole program again removing iMac and all those things. The printer was connected wirelessly then I get first error say another network was on it.

When I installed it in WINDOWS Environment but went pass the previous error and all of them work fine excluding the scanning. The error is shown below. Does anyone advice for me? Thank you in advance.

scan cannot be performed because another program or computer is using the networked HP imaging device

The scan cannot be performed because another program or computer is using the networked HP imaging device. Try

again later.

Dear User,

Try these steps,

Turn your computer off and then turn off the product and then turn off your router.

After everything is turned off turn them on in the following order.

Turn the router on, turn the product on and then finally the computer.

Now try to scan again.

Hopefully these steps should resolve your problem.

Thank you.

Download the file from HP Laserjet Utility. Run the file. Enter your Printer’s IP Address. It doesn’t matter whether the printer is online or not. You just need to provide its IP address and you’re good to go.

Should the link is not working, just go to HP Home page, Support and Drivers, Select your printer model from the drop down, select the driver you need to download and click Download. After successfully downloading, click Run.

Download the file from HP
