Scanner communication error with Hp Photosmart

Hello,

I am facing serious issues using the HP Photosmart software. I am using HP Office jet Pro A909g which is an AIO that supports network printing. However I have been unable to scan your my Windows 7 PC using the same. The error is displayed below:

A required software component was not found or was improperly installed. Reinstall the HP Photosmart software that 
came with the device and try scanning again.
 
The software works for sometime after reinstallation and the problem crops up again and again.
 
Anyone worked with HP softwares before?

Hello Joe,

Don't worry, after following the below indications you can successfully solve your problem I hope. Better to Do According to my indication.

  • Primarily you should install the software boot from CD.
  • After installation then restart PC and try updating your software and you can also try unplugging and then Plugging USB.
  • Then  select computer > Open CD-ROM by exploring it > Type TEMP in the search button and after opening temp FOLDER > in the setup folder > Scan  and from right click repair and then click install and then from setup folder open bpd_scan and select repair from right clicking.
  • And after installation then restart your computer.

There might be a compatibility issue of the software with the operating system.

The problem with the software will be repeated even though you reinstall it.
