Regularly we receive emails from a friend, colleges, and unknown sender. How do we know who is the sender and is the email real or fake? How to get IP address from email?

Save Yourself From Spam, Get IP Address From Email.

When we receive an email, it consists of a header which informs us about the sender, and the text message. Often we can get spam messages, and if we want to report about it, there is a need of IP address. Gmail hides the real IP address of the sender, so it is hard to find it. GMAIL:

1) Sign into your Gmail account.

2) To see the email header, click on the inverted triangle and go to show original.

3) Search ‘Received: from’. [ ] contains the IP address.

Example:Received: from [59.139.52.1] by [email protected]

4) If there are more than one received from, select the last one.

YAHOO:

1) Sign into your account.

2) Go to the mail you want to track and select more, then select view full header.

3) Search ‘Received: from’. [ ] contains the IP address. If you see many, select the last one. If you see none select the first IP address in X-Originating-IP.
