I have a Sapphire X1600PRO 256MB AGP memory module and I tried to update the BIOS for the higher core clock speed. My problem is that once I load the New BIOS' ROM, and I click Program it says the following message, and I don't know what else to do. Is there anyone that has an idea on how to fix this?

Hi Nicholas,

I noticed you that you used ATIWinFlash. I would really recommend you to use ATIFlash instead, because is much stable and not temperamental.

You can go to their website for you to download it .

You should use Hewlett Packards USB Boot Drive Utility to make your flash drive bootable.

After the USB drive becomes bootable, put inside ATIFlash and the BIOS file inside.

Hi Nicholas,

Sometimes updating BIOS needs a stable power supply, What you can try to do is to check which expansion card needs a better power supply, move your PCI cards in the secondary slot to see which is causing the issue. After every try go ahead and try to update your BIOS again. If you are also familiar try to update your BIOS using DOS.
