Samsung has officially sent invitation cards to journalists on May 3 presentation in London of what should be the successor of the Galaxy SII, the Galaxy SIII.

For sure Samsung will once again put the best in this device to take the advantage over its competitors.

Actually the  iPhone 4S is getting in its top , but with the arrival of the new challenger, this may be affected, even with its old brother, the Galaxy SII has sold well and was the only real competitor.

Note that Samsung did not give any details about the technical specs of the Galaxy S III except for the screen, we announce 4.8-inch (Full HD), a quad-core processor with speed of 1.5 GHz Extnos, two cameras 8 and 2 MP, the 4G is included and the OS is Android 4.0 and ICS.

Here’s a comparison between the Samsung Galaxy S3 Smartphone and the Apple iPhone 4s handset. When it comes to the supported network technology, both Smartphones are the same. They support both 2G and 3G networks and with the same speed of about 5.76 Mbps. The iPhone 4s is 1 year older than Samsung Galaxy S3.

The iPhone 4s was released on October 2011 while Samsung Galaxy S3 was on May 2012. The iPhone 4s measures 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3 mm and weighs 140 grams. The Samsung Galaxy S3 measures 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm and weighs 133 grams. With these measurements, the iPhone 4s Smartphone is smaller but thicker handset than the Samsung Galaxy S3.

The iPhone 4s is also heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S3. Both handsets support micro-SIM cards. The iPhone 4s has an LED-backlit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 640 x 960 pixels screen resolution. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 handset has a bigger screen than the Apple iPhone 4s mobile phone. With iPhone 4s, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass with oleophobic coating. With Samsung Galaxy S3, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 with TouchWiz UI. The Apple iPhone 4s Smartphone runs on iOS 5 upgradable up to iOS 7.1.2 and until iOS 8.2.

It is powered by the Apple A5 chipset, Dual Core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, and PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU. The Samsung Galaxy S3 Smartphone runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and or can be upgraded to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean powered by Exynos 4412 Quad chipset, Quad Core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, and Mali-400MP4 GPU.
