I tried printing some documents on the Samsung printer I have at work and the following message kept appearing every time I tried printing it. On both computers (home and work) I have the same system, Windows XP. Can someone please tell me why did this thing happen?

The file may be locked, may contain restricted macros or the CaseView PDF printer may not be accessible.

Excel

Unable to print document

working papers.xlsx.

Greetings,

You can try these steps to fix the your issue:

1. Click Start > Control Panel

2. Double Click Printers and Faxes.

3. Right Click CaseView PDF > Properties.

4. Click the Advanced tab.

5. Make sure "Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster" and "Start printing immediately" are selected.

6. Un-tick "Enable advanced printing features" > Hit OK.

7. Double click CaseView PDF. Click File > Cancell All Documents.

8. Make sure print jobs are gone, then restart the PC.

Hi there Otis Hartwell,

First of all, make sure your printer drivers are all up to date as that will most likely solve your problem.

Printing error occurs often and the most common reasons are macros in the table cells that cannot be printed. To solve your problem, you should open the table you are trying to print and remove macros or any conditional formattings.

The easiest workaround is to save your tables as PDF documents, and print them after.
