Hey there! What are the advantages of using a Quad-core? Because Samsung halted their Galaxy 2 productions just to add this quad-core inside the tablet.

You’ve asked about the advantages of a quad-core processor. Well it depends upon the application.

Samsung had a dual-core processor in Galaxy Tab which will now be replaced by a quad-core processor. Let me tell you about this. Dual-Core and quad-core are CPUs that come under the category of multicore processors. Multicore processors have more than one core (processors) on a single chip to process instructions independently. A quad-core instead of dual-core will be faster if you are using a graphically intense application or an application which can efficiently use the multicore technology. So quad-core processor is definitely fast if your software is smart enough.
