Same graphics card, different requirements

Just the other day, I bought a new Nvidia GeForce 7600GT 512 graphics card to replace the older existing Nvidia GeForce 7600GT 512. I understand that although one is a newer version of the other, they are supposed to have more features in common. I was proved wrong. The heat sync chips on the older version were Nanya while the new one has Samsung, the new card needs new drivers from Nvidia site while the old has a pre-windows boot. There are many differences but now my main issue is that the new chip does not support Adobe rendering. Is it possible to flash the BIOS of the new card so that its 512M Vram can be scaled for use in Adobe Rendering?

Hello Joseph,

I don't recommend that you flash your BIOS as you just bought it recently. Flashing your BIOS could be dangerous as it could brick your Graphics Card. Given that you just bought it recently, it's better to have it returned to supplier and state the differences you mentioned. It's a lot safer.
