Since you are using Skype for Salesforce, make sure you are using a supported version of Skype. To download the latest version, download Skype for Windows. It supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. Once the latest Skype is installed, you should also make sure that you have the latest Skype for Salesforce.

If not, download and install Skype for Salesforce Basic Edition 2.1. It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 both x86 and x64. Microsoft Windows 8 and later not supported. It also requires Skype version 4 or higher. Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or higher and Mozilla Firefox 3.6 or higher are supported. Unfortunately, Skype have announced that starting in version 6.11 Skype for Salesforce will stop working.

I guess this is the reason why you get that error. In case it doesn’t work on the latest Skype, try downloading Skype 6.5.0.107 Beta.
