How can I secure my Pen Drive from catching viruses when inserting to other computer? It always shows threats when using it on other machine. What software would you recommend to secure my Pen Drive from virus?

  • The best way to avoid this is to get a pen drive that have the lock option in it. The physical write lock is the best possible solution to this problem.
  • Go to market and search for that USB which has the lock head on its body. So that whenever you connect it to your PC or any other, turn that lock head up so that it is in read only state and then do the rest of the work.
  • However there are few scanning utilities that will reside on your USB pen drive. Download them and place them onto your pen drive.
  • When you connect your pen drive to any other computer, run that scan software and it will automatically disable the writing of the pen drive and you will be safeguarded with any kind of virus.

Hi there,

It think you need help regarding preventing viruses from attacking your pendrive.

Very sad to say that Huge loads of Malwares and or Viruses are Playing with your system. You must be very careful while using External devices to install Softwares and other stuffs and also while using Network.
 
Its really horrible and tough to fight with viruses and only a PC expert geek could do remove SOME of the common viruses. 
 
Better install a GOOD Antivirus and or Internet security. 
 
I personally Recommends Kaspersky Internet Security 2012. It works great. It catches almost all the viruses and also very smooth to operate. What problem kaspersky has till its 2011 versions was slow updates. Now they have solved the problem.
 
Go try download the trial version and try it for 30 days and if and only if you liked then buy the license for 1 year.
