Is it true that Safari browser is still not available to download for Windows? Actually, I downloaded Safari browser more than a year ago and a day after I installed the software it said that the Safari browser would not support its function on Windows. If it is still available for Windows, what is the difference of Safari in other web browsers?

I’m not sure if you are right because if you will check the support download page of the Safari web browser in the Apple website, it is obvious that Microsoft Windows is still supported. The only difference with other web browsers is that the Apple Safari web browser is not updated regularly.

Unlike with other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Opera where the developers release updates from time to time if not regularly probably after a month or 2 depending on the progress on the new enhancements to be applied, with Safari, updates don’t come on a regular basis.

For example, the latest version for Microsoft Windows is Safari 5.1.7 and it was released on May 9, 2012 and that was 2 years ago going 3 years this 2015. Before version 5.1.7, Safari 3.2.2 was also made available for Microsoft Windows and it was released on February 12, 2009.

If you will look at the dates, it took 3 years before a new version was released. Other users already have Safari to test its speed and compare it to other web browsers and I found a number of negative feedbacks. One says it starts slowly. It takes around 10 seconds before completely showing the home page.

Another user also says visiting YouTube with Safari is very buggy. I also once thought of trying it on my computer and see the feel but before I was able to download, I got discouraged because of all the negative feedbacks about the browser. Apple says it is way faster compared to Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox but the users say a different story.
